Vintage Inspired Halloween Cookies

Happy Halloween!

The pumpkin and cat cookies were inspired by Halloween decor that my sister found at West Elm which was done by local artist Wendy Addison. At least I think she is local - her website says that her shop is in a tiny town north of San Francisco, "Port Costa". I've never heard of it but it looks like it's somewhere in the East Bay. Scottie Dog Cookies

These Scottie Dog Cookies were made in honor of Guinness the dog. For a fairly small dog, he has a very loud bark. I'm not sure which is louder - this dog's barking or a two year old's screaming...





Our Website is Live!

Our new website is finally live! It only took nine months but between having no budget, coming up with a new logo that I actually liked (which was not in the original plan), finding someone to help me take the photos for the website and figuring out what shots I wanted and what cookies to make, AND a toddler (and we're talking no babysitters or daycare), nine months doesn't sound that bad. Sure, it's only one page with three external links but that is exactly what I asked for and it works for me! I did want the main images to rotate and slide over to the left but apparently that was going to be an issue on phones so I'll just have to switch out the photos from time to time.

Onesie Cookies - Boy Baby Shower

These onesie cookies are for a baby shower today. Apparently the mom-to-be really likes bollywood so I thought about doing fancier paisley prints and a flourish square shape with "boy" inside but they decided to keep it simple.

FYI: This is a flourish square (at least that is what the craft punch is called):

I don't know what these bicycle cookies were for but I modeled them after the Kate Spade bicycle below.

We're Moving! ...Back to Blogger

The Sugar Mama Cookies blog has moved to WordPress! We are moving back to Blogger! I know...it is very confusing. The WordPress page didn't look as good on our Vice President's iPhone4 (that is, my husband's iPhone4). So I've just transferred the blog to another Blogger url.
